UNICEF is looking for a:

 

 CHILD PROTECTION SPECIALIST

For its Latin America and Caribbean Regional Office, based in Panama.
This is a Temporary Fixed- Term Contract for One-Year (renewable)

 

 

 

 

 

Profile Sought:

 

·         Advanced university degree in Law, Social Science, or related discipline.

·         Five years of professional work experience in planning, designing, organizing and implementing child rights and protection projects in developing countries, including monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, preferably in the UN system and/or at international cooperation level.

·         In depth knowledge of sexual abuse, commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking issues and of Programming.

·         Proven ability to research, conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas as well as to transfer knowledge and skills.

·         Analytical skills, ability to draft reports and contribute to publications, in addition to managing resources, planning, monitoring and evaluation.

·         Negotiation, networking, influence, communication and advocacy skills.

·         Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.

·         Fluency in both Spanish and English required. Knowledge of Portuguese and French an asset.

 

 

Remuneration:

At P.3 level of the UN International Professional Salary Scale
