Under the overall direction of the Specialist Adolescent Development (Adolescent Development and Participation Unit), you will provide program support in promoting and strengthening UNICEF’s approaches to positive and holistic adolescent survival, development, protection and participation for the most vulnerable adolescents in accordance with the organizational and international frameworks, with a strong focus on protection issues and emergency/transition situations.  

Your profile:

• Advanced university degree in social sciences or other related technical field.
• Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, in a related field.
• Current knowledge of the latest developments and research in the field of adolescent development and participation, with focus on emergency and post-emergency.
• Proven ability to work with young people and adolescent focused organizations.
• Foundational competencies: Commitment, drive for results, embracing diversity, integrity, self-awareness and self-regulation, and teamwork.
• Functional competencies: analytical and conceptual thinking; building trust; communication; decisiveness; flexibility; group facilitation; judgment; managing resources; networking; planning, setting standards and monitoring work; stress management; tact; and technical knowledge.
• Fluency in English and working knowledge of French or another UN language is required.
